INTERNSHIP PROJECT SUMMARY:
Our mission is to mitigate losses through fair, respectful, and ethical account resolutions, while striving to maintain long term member relationships. To our department and the credit union, collections is much more than collecting a payment. We strive to create a long lasting partnership that not only helps the member get current with our loans, but be successful with their overall financial situation. You will deal daily with the membership using phone communication, emails, letters, notices, and some face to face conversations. You will also work in cooperation with most all departments of the CU. There are many career opportunities within the department from becoming a member of our reinstatement team, bankruptcy specialist or even a mortgage loan and foreclosure specialist. The department often celebrates successes inside and outside the office and does several community projects each year as a group to give back to the community.
