  • Position Summary

    The Commercial Systems Administrator can lead or assist with application projects associated with commercial lending.  The position supports various technology needs and initiatives across the commercial lending function through the identification and administration of robust information tools and solutions for data management, mining and reporting.  Provide assistance and solutions for various initiatives within the department.  This position also serves as a technical resource.

     

    Pay range for this position is $25.84-$38.76

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.

    1. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values in serving with truth, trust, mentoring, openness, risk-taking, giving credit, integrity, caring and respect in carrying out the UICCU's mission and vision.
    2. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
    3. Provides the highest level of internal and external customer service.
    4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
    5. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or Credit Union sponsored events on an annual basis.
    6. Adheres to all state, federal and credit union regulations, policies and guidelines.
    7. Responsible for administering commercial lending department systems automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial lending staff and the processes they follow.
    8. Coordinates all technical support for all systems associated with commercial lending. This includes being the primary “on-site” technical support resource and coordinating any additional external support necessary to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
    9. Coordinates with the Information Technology Services department to ensure appropriate interactions of mainframe system(s) with commercial lending staff to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate information is available from the mainframe system(s).
    10. Coordinates with the Information Technology Services department to ensure appropriate interactions of mainframe system(s) with commercial lending sub-systems to ensure timely accurate and appropriate transfer of information between the systems.
    11. Serves as a technical resource to assist with timely, accurate and appropriate data extraction from the loan system(s) for manipulation into manageable format to utilize in various credit risk management and loan accounting reports for the department.
    12. Recommends and implement changes or innovations to technology tools for the department as needed. 
    13. Communicates process changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation - to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that technology issues and solutions within the commercial lending department are understood.
    14. Assists with various year-end reporting documents, including but not limited to 1098, 1098 CUSO, 1099-S to IRS, and HMDA.
    15. Administrates setup, implementation, programming, training, modification and troubleshooting of all new and update commercial systems.
    16. Leads ongoing administration, modification, programming, training, and troubleshooting of all commercial systems (including but not limited to AccuSystems, Baker Hill, LaserPro).
    17. Exhibits advanced knowledge of commercial lending support systems including but not limited to:
      • Q2(Online Banking), Lanvera (E-statements), Springboard (Credit/Debit cards), Deluxe (check orders), Image Center (check images), Goldleaf (ACH), RDC (remote deposit capture).
    18. Administers commercial lending department coordination and communication with third party websites (including but not limited to:
      • Experian, CoStar, ServiceLine/LPS Flood, EDR, VINtek (Vehichle Titles), ARTS (Vehicle Titles), Loan Support Pro/CBMS, Secretary of State, County E-Submission, Iowa Land Records E-Submission, ShareFile, DocuSign, Episys).
    19. Performs ongoing commercial systems administration of user access; creating, modifying, or deleting users from the commercial lending systems.
    20. Administers the commercial department site within The Neighborhood.
    21. Implements and tracks changes in software, regulations, policies and industry practices to ensure commercial systems compliance.
    22. Provides technical support, training, and presentations for commercial department meetings.
    23. Acts as a point of contact for IT issues in the commercial lending department.
    24. Provides support and assistance during internal, state and federal audits and examinations.
    25. Works alongside the commercial lending team as a technology advisor on special projects as needed.

    Job Requirements/Expectations

    1. Four (4) year college degree and three years of experience in Lending, Information Technology, or a combination of the two areas.
    2. Ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently. Good time management skills required to manage multiple assignments on time.
    3. Working knowledge of PC hardware, software and systems; Virtual Basic; technical aptitude; and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    4. Accuracy and attention to detail required with a basic understanding of statistical analysis.
    5. Interpersonal skills to represent the Credit Union in a positive way during member and vendor contact.
    6. Creative and adaptable with good problem-solving skills.
    7. Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with employees, members and co-workers in a professional manner.
    8. Ability to provide quality service and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside vendors.
    9. Self-directed nature, ability to work independently of supervision.

    Reporting Relationship

    Reports to Vice President Commercial Credit Administration.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees.
